Quick start
- Navigate to your Agency View, click Settings, and open Stripe Connect.
- Connect your Stripe account to fully enable your SaaS billing.
- Note: Stripe is currently the absolute only supported payment provider for SaaS Mode. You must have a Stripe card payment to run SaaS onboarding.
Follow the detailed steps below to complete the setup.
You just closed three new clients in a single afternoon. You should be out celebrating. Instead, you are sitting at your desk filled with absolute dread.
You know you have to spend the next five hours manually creating sub-accounts, copying over snapshot assets, setting up their billing in Stripe, and sending out generic welcome emails.
By the time you finish, your profit margin for the month is already destroyed by the sheer cost of your own manual labor.
If you are manually onboarding clients, you are running an agency, not a software company. HighLevel’s SaaS Mode changes everything.
It allows you to sell the platform under your own brand, automatically collect the cash, and instantly spin up fully loaded sub-accounts without you ever lifting a finger. Let’s get your software empire launched.
Part 1: The Payment Engine
You cannot run a software company without a way to collect recurring revenue. Ready to streamline this? Here is exactly how to do it in 60 seconds:
- Navigate to your Agency View, click Settings, and open Stripe Connect.
- Connect your Stripe account to fully enable your SaaS billing.
- Note: Stripe is currently the absolute only supported payment provider for SaaS Mode. You must have a Stripe card payment to run SaaS onboarding.
Part 2: Build Your Software Tiers
Now you need to package up your value into scalable subscription tiers.
- Stay in your Agency View and open the SaaS Configurator.
- Create your custom SaaS plans and set your exact monthly or annual pricing.
- Set your trial periods and attach your specific snapshots so clients get your templates instantly upon signup.
- Enable the exact platform features each tier gets access to.
- Configure your rebilling margins so you make a passive profit on their SMS, Email, and AI usage.
- Pro-Tip: You can build up to 20 different SaaS plans. Just remember, never delete your SaaS plans directly inside Stripe! Always manage them from HighLevel.
Part 3: The Automated Checkout
You need a storefront so clients can actually swipe their credit cards and trigger the automated account creation.
- Pull the plans into your selling sub-account by going to Payments, selecting Products, and clicking Import from Stripe.
- Copy the Stripe Product/Price ID from your SaaS Configurator and paste it in to import the product.
- Navigate to Sites and open your Funnels.
- Build out your sales page, attach your new SaaS products, and drop in a 1-Step or 2-Step Order Form.
Part 4: Custom Deals
What happens when an enterprise client wants to negotiate a custom agreement, but you do not want to break your public pricing model? You create a Special Price.
- Open Manage Client and navigate to the SaaS tab.
- Click Add a SaaS Subscription and select one of your base plans.
- Click Create a Special Price to set a custom amount, assign the currency, and dictate the billing interval.
- Click Save Price. The system locks this in, and even if they cancel and you reactivate them later, the payment modal will correctly display their customized pricing amount.
Stop acting like a manual onboarding assistant and start operating like a true SaaS founder.
